Astaranga Quadruple Murder: CB arrested 4 persons

Bhubaneswar, October 9: Odisha's Crime Branch Police  arrested four persons in connection with quadruple murder including  the retired DI of schools Dinabandhu Mallick, his wife Nirmala and daughters Pranati(11) and Saswati(4) at Dinadiyan village under Astaranga police limits in Puri district on September 21.

The Crime Branch will reveal the names of the persons arrested by evening today, sources said.

Notably, yesterday 6-member Crime Branch Police team reached the spot of incident and carried on investigation. The Crime Branch sources said that they had discovered a weapon used during the murder.

Besides, they had also taken the neighbours of the deceased to the crime branch office for interrogation yesterday.

Crime Branch is probing the matter following the orders by the CM Naveen Pattnaik.
