No Power Cuts During The Evening Says Energy Minister Of Odisha

Cuttack, October 10: Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das today informed the media that the residents of the state will not have to face power cuts during evening time from October 11 to November 15 which emabarked as a sigh of relief for the people. 

Keeping in view the festive season coming forward the decision is taken, however the power cuts during day time will continue, he added.
Das also said that the decision regarding future power cuts will be taken after review meeting to be held between November 5 and November 10. At present, the state is facing a power shortage of 400 to 450 MW during peak hours.
It may be recalled that due to shortage of water in the power generating reservoirs, Odisha government had declared power cuts across the state till October.

Meanwhile, we bringing power through power banking from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh to meet the demand during Puja season, he informed.
