Friday releases:

After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film, 'Jazbaa' last week, we have three relatively small-budget films releasing this Friday (October 16) - 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2', 'Wedding Pulav' and 'Chinar Daastaan-E-Ishq'.

The sequel to director Luv Ranjan's 2011 successful film, 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' hits screens today (October 16) with Karhik Aryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh among others. Just like the first part, the film delves into the torture that the three boys go through when it comes to winning the affections of their women.

From the trailer 'Pyaar ka Panchnaama 2' promises to be quite a laugh riot. However, it remains to be seen in Luv Ranjan can wave his magic a second time at the box office.

Being the season of weddings, the next release is 'Wedding Pullav' by director Binod Pradhan. It marks the Bollywood debut of model-turned-actor Anushka Ranjan. Also starring Diganth Manchale and TV actor Karan Grover, the film is said to tell the tale of two friends who are unable to express their love to each other. When the girl (Anushka Ranjan) finally attends her best friend's (Diganth Machale) wedding along with her fiance (Karan Grover), sparks fly and they realise that they are with the people suitably matched to them. Will they take the plunge and call off their respective relationships in order to be with each other?

And lastly, the third release of this Friday is 'Chinar Daastaan-E-Ishq', marking Aamir Khan's brother, Faisal's return to films.

Shot in Kashmir and Mumbai, the film is based on the novel 'Jheel Jalti Hai' (Lake is on fire) written by retired civil servant Renzu Shah. The author said the movie is the first to be based on the state in the last 25 years that does not depict violence in any form. "It (movie) is about the culture, beauty and life of Kashmir as seen through the characters of the novel," said Shah.
