Sonia Gandhi to lead protest march against growing intolerance today

New Delhi,November 3: A day ahead of her party's planned march to the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Congress president Sonia Gandhi held a one-on-one meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee on late Monday evening.

While there was no official communication from either the Congress party or the President's office about the details of the meeting, it lasted for nearly 40 minutes.

Sonia Gandhi and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi will lead a 'protest march' of members of the party's highest decision-making body, Congress Working Committee (CWC) and party lawmakers on today.

The Congress leaders are also expected to present a memorandum to the President on 'growing intolerance' and current political situation.

Earlier days, Sonia Gandhi had led another march of opposition parties to the Rashtrapati Bhawan and submitted a memorandum to the President on concerns around the controversial land acquisition bill.
