New delhi,November 5: Images from the Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them are as elusive as some of J K Rowling's magical the creatures. But the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly gives us our first image of Eddie Redmayne in the title role of Newt Scamander.

The film is based on Rowling's 2001 Harry Potter spin-off of the same name. Chronicling the beasts of the Potter universe many of which are significant to the original adventures the book also appears itself inside the universe as prescribed school reading for Harry and his classmates.

The movie, set in 1926 New York details the adventures of the author, Newt Scamander, portrayed by Academy Award winning actor Eddie Redmayne.

The magazine's cover shows him standing outside the headquarters of the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA).

The Entertainment weekly cover is the first image of Eddie Redmayne as Scamander and shows him dressed like a muggle, albeit brandishing a wand and clutching a leather briefcase.
