Congress staged protest across State: Farmer suicide case

Bhubaneswar,November 6:The opposition Congress today staged protest at all block offices across the State over the growing number of farmers commits suicide in Odisha recently.

Bolangir local party workers and activists organized a rally at Koshala ground alleging the State government not paying heed to the farmers' agricultural requirements.

According to party activist,"the government has completely failed to understand what a poor farmer needs to grow crops. 

What is the need of the financial package after their death?" A similar demonstration led by party's district president Manoranjan Das and Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) general secretary Subhendu Mohanty was also organized in the State capital. Over a hundred activists who undertook a rally from Master Canteen to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) office near Kalpana square shouted anti-government slogans and showed placards.
