Barabati incident: Bottle throwing Inquiry report submitted

Cuttack,November 12:Odisha Home secretary Asit Tripathy today has informed the Inquiring report on the bottle pelting incident at Barabati Stadium during the T 20 International match between India and South Africa. 

The report has been submitted on October 5. 

He said he had conducted the inquiry as he was ordered by the state government to do so adding that he has taken all aspects into consideration in his report.

However, he maintained that disclosing contents and findings of the report was not within his scope.

Notably, spectators in the stands had thrown water bottles into the field after being disappointed at the poor performance of the home team during the T 20 International match between India and South Africa on October 5 at the Barabati Stadium.

The state government had ordered the Home secretary to conduct an inquiry on the incident and to suggest measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
