Another debt-hit farmers end life

Nabarangpur,November 17: One debt-ridden farmers allegedly committed suicide in Sambalpur district of Nabarangpur, after they suffer huge losses due to crop failure, the police said today.

Sources said Labanya Santa of  Nandahandi block in Nabarangpur district had grown paddy in 3 acres of land for which he had taken some amounts from banks and private money lenders. However, the standing crops were damaged due to shortage of rainfall following which he lost mental balance, family sources said sources added.
