Tata Steel Cyrus Mistry, MD meet CM in Kalinganagar plant

Bhubaneswar,November 18: Tata Group CMD Cyrus Mistry, Tata Steel MD T.V. Narendran today meet Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat. Both top officials of the Tata Group met CM Patnaik before the inauguration of Tata Steel Kalinganagar Plant today. 

Cyrus Mistry said to media that initially Tata Steel's Kalinganagar plant will have capacity of 3 m tn per annum, later it will be increased to 6 m tonne. 45,000 people will get jobs once the plant gets fully operational, he furhter added.

During the meeting top officials of the Tata Steel and the state government were also presented. TV Narendran, managing director of Tata Steel, had last September set March 2015 as the deadline for commissioning the plant. Rajiv Kumar, Tata Steelís vice-president in charge of the Kalinganagar plant, had in August said the plant would go on stream by December.
