Police recovers girl's skeleton from grave after 22 months

G Udaygiri : The G Udaygiri police today recovered the skeleton of a minor girl from her grave after 22 months. Police to probe into her mysterious death in G. Udayagiri. Police suspected that her brother-in-law had killed her, following which her body was buried in the grave. 

As per reports, 'Celebrate', a plus two girl student of Kumbharkup village under G Udaygiri police station had reportedly committed suicide on February 1, 2018. She was buried in grave as per Christian ritual. 

However, it was suspected that Celebrate’s brother-in-law Swaranjit Nayak had killed her and hung her body by a rope from the ceiling. 

The minor girl’s father had lodged complaint agianst his son-in-law with police, Commission for Women and Kandhamal collector. 

As per the complaint, G Udaygiri police dig out Celebrate’s skeleton from her grave in presence of an executive magistrate and handed over it to the scientific team for further probe.
