Manipur: At least three soldiers of Assam Rifles were killed and four injured in an ambush in Chandel district of Manipur near Myanmar border.
Incident occurred late Wednesday, at location about 100 km from Imphal, sources said. Involvement of terrorists from People's Liberation Army(PLA) is suspected in the attack. The terrorists first carried out an IED blast and then fired at the security personnel.
" Assam Rifles recovered a huge quantity of illegal air rifle scopes of foreign origin which include Bushnell, Leupold and Marcool, worth Rs 50 lakhs from general area Zokhawthar in Champai district," said Assam Rifles in a tweet Wednesday night.
