Odisha Gears Up for Grand 2-Year Celebration with President and PM
The Odisha Government will celebrate the completion of its two-year tenure with a grand public meeting in Rairangpur, Mayurbhanj, on June 20, 2026. Both the President of India and the Prime Minister have confirmed their participation. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high-level meeting to review security, public facilities, and event arrangements. The dignitaries are also scheduled to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several major development projects in Odisha during the occasion.

To ensure the successful organization of the event, a high-level review meeting was held at Lok Seva Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Senior officials discussed arrangements related to security, public convenience, traffic management, and parking facilities.The Chief Minister emphasized the need for meticulous planning and flawless execution, considering the presence of the country's two highest dignitaries. Officials have been directed to make special arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the programme and convenience for the large number of attendees expected at the venue.
According to information shared during the meeting, the President and the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several important development projects aimed at boosting Odisha’s growth and infrastructure. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Development Commissioner D.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shashwat Mishra, and other senior officials. The grand event is expected to highlight the achievements of the state government over the past two years while showcasing its vision for Odisha’s future development.
