The police have expedited the investigation into the sexual assault-cum-murder of a 10-year-old girl near Sulur in Combatore district, aiming to submit the charegsheet in the case within a month.
Inspector General of Police (West Zone) R.V. Ramya Bharathi on Monday convened a meeting with Deputy Inspector General of Police (Coimbatore Range) P. Saminathan, Coimbatore District (Rural) Superintendent of Police Allatipalli Pavan Kumar Reddy, Additional SP M. Vivekanandan and members of the investigating team.
